Rommel De La Cruz is the controller for Motorola Ventures, based in Schaumburg, Illinois. In this role, Rommel is responsible for the financial management of portfolio investments and business operations. This includes valuation, pre- and post-deal financial execution, portfolio measurement and business controls.

Prior to joining Motorola Ventures, Rommel held several finance roles in Motorola's Corporate Technology Office; Mobile Devices; and, Government & Public Safety. Most recently, Rommel was the controller for the Early Stage Accelerator, Motorola's corporate technology incubator. In this role, he was responsible for portfolio strategy, financial modeling and business case development of Motorola Labs' technologies.

Rommel holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Spanish from Illinois Wesleyan University and earned his MBA from DePaul University with concentrations in both Financial Management and Marketing Management.
