Allegro Pick-Up and Delivery Application Overview
The Allegro Pick-up & Delivery MC9500 demonstration application provides piece-level tracking for the pick-up and delivery of freight. The application provides the user with full functionalities for viewing and completing scheduled deliveries and pick-ups, scanning and tracking freight, reporting exceptions, as well as providing access to a range of training videos. Leveraging the built-in accelerometer of the MC9500, the application screen rotates when inverted on the signature capture screen, ensuring that the content always faces upright. Additionally, the accelerometer is leveraged to log a drop count that can serve to audit the amount of harsh handling the device receives.
As a Motorola early adopter, Allegro enhanced and extensively tested the compatibility of The Allegro Mobility Platform on the MC9500 prior to the public release of the device. Allegro has tailored its platform to provide support for the complete range of Motorola’s mobile computing product line.

Librestream Technologies Inc. is the leader in developing visual mobile collaboration solutions. With its patented Onsight solution, Librestream extends traditional video conferencing and collaboration services to connect mobile workers from any location at any time.
Librestream’s Onsight Mobile Collaboration Solution
Onsight Mobile is a compelling visual collaboration tool that is exclusive to the Motorola MC9500 and MC75 platforms. Using Onsight, field workers visually connect live with offsite specialists by sharing images, talking and using onscreen mark-up capabilities. The combination of Onsight and the Motorola platform drives significant value across a range of market segments including field service, manufacturing, healthcare and energy. The benefits are significant with better service, reduced travel costs, higher staff productivity and faster problem resolution.
Using Motorola mobile computing and wireless broadband networking, Salamander Technologies combines all types of identification into an electronic incident command board that is then shared interoperably on the Internet. The data contained in the ID tags is shared for complete overview of incident operations in real time. Salamander’s interTRAX is a simple, scalable, NIMS-compliant solution for incident management. The solution is scalable for small- to large-scale incidents in which mutual aid or interagency responders are needed.
The use of handheld computers in automated identification programs for life safety and security are key components to an emergency response infrastructure. From identity, to incident management, to interoperable communications, the combined Salamander Technologies solutions offering with Motorola’s new MC9500 empowers the first response community to exceed the quality of care they aspire to deliver in protecting the public.
