Detailed instructions for vufone service when vufone client is not preloaded on AURA™
(under Main Menu > Office Tools > vufone)
To begin this process, you will need your AURA, a computer with Internet access, and your old phone.
First, place your SIM card into your AURA phone and turn it on. Then, you will need to go to your computer to begin the registration process. Open a browser and go to the vufone Web site at www.vufone.com. Click the Sign Up button and follow the process to set up and confirm your account. A text message containing a web link will then be sent to your AURA phone. Click on the link and follow the prompts to open the AURA web browser and download the vufone application.
Next, you'll need to take the SIM card from your AURA and place it into your old phone. To do this, turn off your AURA, take off the battery cover, remove your battery and slide the SIM card out of your AURA. Now place it back into your old phone. As with your AURA, it is often under the battery inside the phone.
Once you have the SIM card placed back in your old phone, place the battery back in and turn it on.
Back on your computer and the vufone website, select Download Mobile App from the Actions menu on the left. Within a few minutes, you will receive a text message on your old phone. Open the message and open the web link within it. This downloads the vufone application to the old phone. Once the vufone application is installed on your old phone, you will need to open it. Typically, you will find it on the "applications", "installation" or "games" menu.
Select vufone to launch the application, press Options and Settings to select the types of content you want to back up to your vufone Web portal. Select Backup from the application's on-screen menu. And you'll see that your information is being uploaded to your protected vufone Web portal. Depending on the amount of data being transferred, the time required for this process may vary.
Once the upload is complete, you can remove the SIM card from your old phone and put it back into your new AURA. Again, open vufone and select Restore. This transfers the content you just uploaded to the secure web portal onto your new AURA.
As AURA offers you an array of features, so does vufone. Via the web portal, you can manage your phonebook, upload and share your phone's pictures and videos, listen to your music, download pictures and videos to your phone, and much more.
