Motorola Product Testing Services team

in accordance with the 60950-1 standards
for wall outlet powered or battery
operated information technology
equipment. Information technology
equipment includes computers and
computer accessories, or any product
that can be used for the gathering
and/or processing of information. With
the convergence of many different
types of electronic communication and
computing devices, this has
become one
of the most widely accepted and used
product categories globally. This
category can cover anything from a
printer to a wireless Internet device.

The 60950-1 series of
standards are harmonized from the base
international standard IEC60950-1.
UL/CSA 60950-1 and EN60950-1 are examples
of national and regional standards
based on the IEC60950-1 standard. The UL/CSA standard represents the requirements of the United States and Canada, while the EN standard represents the European Union requirements for CE marking.
Motorola Product Testing Services can performnotebook computer
battery listed accessory testing in accordance with UL60950-1.
