Return to Product Safety
We
offer general use battery pack testing
that is covered under the UL 2054
standard. Our team utilizes the same
state of the art safety chambers and
data acquisition systems incorporated
for UL 1642 testing. However, this
standard applies to not only
lithium-ion Ion batteries, as UL 1642
does, but also to nickel-based
batteries rated less than 10Ahr. As
compared to UL 1642, UL 2054 is a much
broader standard and offers an end
product level certification or UL
Listing.
The testing under this standard is
divided into five main types as detailed
below:
Electrical Tests
-
Short-circuit at room
- Short-circuit at
55°C
- Abnormal charge
- Abusive
