A real-time battery pack temperature profile
depends on heat generation from cells and control
electronics. Temperature rise could vary for
different stages of operation. Heat generation of
Li-ion cells are significant during
discharge or charge. For example, the temperature rise in Li-ion
cells more than doubles at the end of discharge.
Thermal modeling helps to determine the real-time
temperature of components and overall system
thermal performances.
