Johnny Chung Lee

Johnny Chung Lee is a Human-Computer Interaction researcher. He comes to MML from Google-X. He is best known for his work on Microsoft’s Kinect development, extending the functionality of the Wii Remote controller of the Wii video game console. His videos demonstrating a low-cost interactive whiteboard, 3D head tracking, finger tracking and a DIY telepresence robot have accumulated over 15 million views on Youtube, and his TED presentation remains one of their most viewed talks of all time. He completed his PhD at CMU's Human-Computer Interaction Institute, and was named one of the world’s top 35 innovators under 35 in 2008.
