Follow the on-screen instructions to start the transfer. Quick and secure, your data is sent directly between devices. A copy stays on your original device, so you won't lose anything.

1. Connect both devices.
Turn on your new Motorola device. When prompted, connect your new Android phone to your old iPhone using your Lightning to USB-C cable. In some cases, you might need an OTG adapter.

2. Select your data.
Follow the on-screen instructions to choose what to copy over — contacts, photos, messages, WhatsApp chats, and more. Disable iMessage so you don't miss a notification.

3. Transfer.
That's it. You’ve copied over your most important data onto your new Android phone.

Motorola has corresponding apps for all these features. The Google Meet app can be used for video calls, Messages for texting, and Quick Share for quick file transfer.

Yes. During the transfer, indicate that you do not have a cable or adaptor. You will be prompted to use Wi-Fi and the Switch to Android app to move your data to your new Motorola phone.

Yes. You can use the Moto Migrate app to sync your iCloud data to a Motorola device. Moto Migrate lets you download your data with just a few clicks. It’s designed to save you time and effort with a clean and intuitive interface.

When a cable is used to transfer data, most of your free apps will transfer. We recommend contacting the app developer for apps purchased on your iPhone to see what they offer for users transferring to a new device. Your existing subscriptions will remain active and billing will continue in the same manner as before.
