Sergio Buniac

President, Motorola
Senior Vice President, Lenovo

Sergio was appointed Lenovo MBG co-president and Motorola chairman and president in February 2018. In this role, Sergio leads all facets of Lenovo’s Mobile business, including R&D, product, sales, strategy, and supply chain, across global markets. As a 20-year veteran of Motorola, Sergio has held various leadership roles within the Company. Under Sergio’s leadership, the Company has returned to profitability with 5 consecutive quarters of growth realized over the course of his tenure. Sergio’s redefined business strategy has put the Company back on track, with many regions seeing significant market growth. Besides his global role, he is acting as senior vice president and general manager for MBG Latin America, responsible for the business strategy for all operations in the region. With his guidance, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and Peru, reached a solid #2 position in market share across Latin America. Previously, he spent three years in the U.S. leading the Strategic Planning and Companion Products businesses for the Americas region. Sergio also held leadership positions at IBM and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Sergio holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, a postgraduate degree from the Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV), and bachelor’s in Engineering from the University of São Paulo’s Escola Politécnica.

Ruben Castano

Customer Experience Leader

Ruben leads Customer Experience for our Mobile Business Group. In this role, Ruben and his team are responsible for understanding the customer journey through Research, integrating their voice into product development, defining our product positioning and communication strategies through Product Marketing, and creating channel partner and customer facing assets to communicate the value of our products. Throughout his career, Ruben has led successful design teams in Europe, Asia and the Americas allowing him to gain experience in key global markets and a broad consumer view towards design and brand development. He holds multiple design awards and has been instrumental in defining strategies that have driven Moto product designs since joining the company in 2005. Throughout his tenure with Motorola, Ruben has held leadership roles in Design directing multidisciplinary teams across the globe in innovation, research, development and design for a variety of key products and franchises including most recently serving as Head of Design. Prior to Motorola, Ruben led the European Brand and Design studio for Whirlpool. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Design and Strategy from the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and is currently based in Chicago.

Sudhir Chadaga

Chief Strategy Officer

Sudhir is Chief Strategy Officer of Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group (MBG) and oversees MBG's ThinkShield for Mobile segment. In his role, Sudhir is responsible for driving strategic topics and initiatives for MBG, including annual and long-term strategic planning and growth strategies. As leader of the ThinkShield for Mobile segment, Sudhir and his team oversee initiatives that address key requirements from B2B customers, including device security and manageability. Sudhir joined Lenovo in 2012 as part of the group's Corporate Strategy team, where he drove Lenovo’s global growth strategy including Lenovo's acquisition of Motorola Mobility and IBM’s System X division. Prior to joining Lenovo, Sudhir held various positions at General Motors, Deutsche Bank, and Hewlett-Packard. He holds an MBA from Chicago Booth and bachelor’s in computer science from National Institute of Technology Karnataka (India).

Dan Dery

Vice President, Global Product Leader

Dan joined Lenovo in July 2016 to lead all product functions for the Mobile Business Group, including both Lenovo and Motorola Global Product Development teams, Software Engineering, Consumer Experience Design, Portfolio Planning, Product Management and Program Management. Before coming to Lenovo, Dan was the CMO and VP of Global Marketing, Design, and Products at TCL Communication. His extensive background in driving product success is complimented by his past experience working with Motorola when he was the VP of Mass Market Portfolio based in China from 2010-2012. Dan's experience also includes strategic roles at Philips Mobile Phones, Altran Technology and France Telecom. He holds an engineering degree from the Institute Superieure d'Electricite de Paris and a master's in advanced computer science from the Ecole Superieure d'Electricite. Dan is based in Chicago.

Xiaohui Ding

MBG Quality and Global Supply Chain Leader

Xiaohui Ding leads the Mobile Business Group (Motorola) Quality team worldwide. In this role, Xiaohui oversees implementation of end-to-end quality management and control across the entire Mobile organization - from product to supply chain - to achieve best-in-class quality and customer satisfaction. Prior to his current role, Xiaohui served as Motorola’s global procurement engineering leader. Since starting his career at Lenovo in 1999, Xiaohui has held several leadership roles, including leading the Lenovo Laptop Quality team, and managing Lenovo Supply Chain, where he was responsible for worldwide manufacturing quality, procurement engineering and NPI. Xiaohui received his Bachelor of Mechanical Manufacturing and Engineering from HIT (Harbin Institute of Technology). He is based in Beijing.

Chen Jin

China General Manager

Chen Jin is the general manager of the Lenovo Mobile Business Group in China, a position he has held since 2019. In this role, Chen Jin is responsible for driving the business strategy and execution for all smartphone sales, marketing and customer activities across China. Prior to this role, Jin Chen was at Meitu Mobile as SVP where he helped the company go public in Hong Kong. Previously, he was CMO of Lenovo ZUK and built a successful brand image and led various marketing achievements. From 2006 to 2015, Chen Jin served as Lenovo Mobile regional manager, General Manager of East China, and head of marketing for WCDMA (one of three major mobile communication standards) in China covering the public retail market and China Unicom. Through his efforts, Chen Jin helped Lenovo become the #1 local brand in China. Chen Jin received his bachelor’s degree from JiMei University. He is based in Beijing.

Rudi Kalil

Vice President & General Manager, North America

Rudi leads the company’s relationships with wireless operators and retailers in North America. He brings 15 years of experience working in sales, marketing operations, and technology positions across high-tech, consumer goods and telecom industries, including Google, America Movil (AMX), Kirin, Nokia, IBM, and EMC Corporation. Prior to joining Motorola, Rudi served as Chief Operations Officer for Claro Brazil, a mobile network operator with over 60 million wireless subscribers. He earned a degree in Electronic Engineering from FAAP in Brazil and has an MBA from FDC/Kellogg, having complemented his education at the London Business School. Rudi is based in Chicago.

Francois LaFlamme

Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, Europe General Manager

Francois is Chief Marketing Officer of Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group and also oversees sales and marketing of Motorola smartphones across Europe. In his dual role, Francois is responsible for Motorola’s global marketing strategy across brand, campaigns, CRM, PR, social/digital, global budgeting/operations, and product marketing. As Europe GM, his responsibilities include driving business strategy and execution for all sales, marketing and customer activities across all European countries. Francois joined Lenovo in 2012 as Vice President of Corporate Strategy, where he focused on Lenovo’s global growth strategy and strategic initiatives, including the acquisition of Motorola Mobility and IBM’s System X division. Prior to joining Lenovo, Francois held various strategic positions at McKinsey & Co, Intel and Dell. He holds an MBA from Duke University and Honors Commerce degree from Queen’s University (Canada).

Prashanth Mani

Executive Director, Mobile Business Group,
Lenovo Asia Pacific

Prashanth Mani is Executive Director, Mobile Business Group at Lenovo Asia Pacific, responsible for building the mobile device business under the Motorola brand.
Prashanth also serves as the Managing Director of Motorola India, a position he has held since 2018. Before this appointment, Prashanth worked at leading mobile technology companies, including Samsung and Nokia.

Paulo Oliveira

Executive Director, MBG Services Support

Paulo is the global lead for the Mobile business supporting customers and end consumers across all geographies. In this role, Paulo is responsible for services and warranty processes in multiple channels, including all warranty repair activities. Paulo and his team drive company’s strategy to promote and easy digital channels to provide convenient and fast solutions for customers escalations and inquires, His main mission is to wow our consumers with flexible, convenient and efficient apps, tools and platforms. Paulo is also responsible to drive cost efficiency in warranty processes, while always looking for the highest level of customer satisfaction as first priority. Prior to this role, Paulo managed Latin America and Europe Service Operations. Since starting his career at Motorola in 1996, Paulo has held several leadership roles in Supply Chain and Logistics, including leading the International Trade operations at Motorola.

Jason Ruger

Mobile Business Group BT/IT Lead and
Lenovo Chief Information Security Officer

As the Mobile Business Group (MBG) BT/IT Lead and Lenovo Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Jason is responsible for two functions. For MBG, he runs the technology used to design, manufacture, sell and service Mobile products in all regions. In his CISO role, Jason protects customers, employees and shareholders from an array of cyber-attacks. Jason has over 20 years of cyber security and IT experience at Lenovo, Google, Motorola, and consulting firms. He successfully led companies through some of their largest cyber-attacks in history, and built many aspects of Motorola's modern CRM initiative. Jason holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management. He is based in Chicago.

Ken Russell

CFO, Smartphone Segment

Ken oversees global financial activities for Motorola Mobility including support for Financial Planning, Product Development, Product Cost and Business Controls. Over his 28-year career with Motorola, Ken has held various management roles in Finance across many areas of the business including Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Operations, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain, Service and Accounting. Prior to this role, Ken led Motorola’s Global Financial Planning team, helping drive the business to continuous year on year profit growth. Ken holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Illinois State University and an Executive MBA from Northern Illinois University. Ken is based in Chicago.

Annabelle Wang

Executive Director, Human Resource Leader

Annabelle is a global Human Resource Leader with almost 20 years of experience in human resource management and organizational development. Her skill sets include strategic HR partnerships, organizational change, performance management, executive recruitment, and employee development. Annabelle joined Lenovo in 2014 where she participated in the post-integration of Motorola following the acquisition. She then partnered with senior executives to support Global Mobile Sales, Global Supply Chain, and Mobile Product Development. Currently, Annabelle is the Head of HR of Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group where she provides project management support to Motorola’s President and other executives. Additionally, she ensures the organization has the right structure and people to deliver on business performance objectives. Early in her career, she worked for Antal international, Deloitte Consulting and Wyeth. Annabelle has double BA Degrees in Economics from both the University of Colorado at Denver and China Agriculture University. Annabelle is based in Chicago.
